“I’m here with the kid in high school who protected me from bullies,” Jon Stewart joked tonight on The Daily Show, introducing the Arcade Fire while standing next to their significantly taller frontman, Win Butler.
“Let me know if anyone gives you a hard time,” Butler later quipped, before playing out the show with “Month of May” off the past week’s highest selling album, The Suburbs. Between their chart-topping breakthrough, near-ubiquitous critical praise, and the Terry Gilliam-directed Webcast (viewed by 1.8 million people, literally), Arcade Fire are having a pretty fabulous week, right?
