Blink-182 is back, Jane’s Addiction is back, it’s apparently Hammertime, and now Limp Bizkit is back too. Fred Durst and Wes Borland posted an official statement on their site, which says they have decided saving “heavy popular music” is more important than saving their friendship. The statement:
“We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other. Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back.”
The band’s reunion comes as a surprise to some because Borland, their original guitarist, claimed just last week that he didn’t want to work with Limp Bizkit again because his new music “all makes sense together, instead of random lyrics on top of music that sounds cool.” Well I guess it’s back to the old recipe.
