In advance of their next multimedia art installation/rock show party in London, Vice and Intel’s Creators Project recently updated their impressive webisode page with dozens of behind-the-scenes mini-documentaries about their creators, um, creating. There are a number of notable clips here (with Diplo, Neon Indian, Animal Collective collaborator Danny Perez, etc.), but my favorite two so far feature director/skateboarder Spike Jonze and guitarist/photographer Nick Zinner.
At the July 17 London party, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist will premiere A.D.A.B.A., a photography exhibit that he scored himself specifically for the event. The musical composition, which consists mainly of electric guitar loops, was mixed in surround sound (they’re calling it a “three-dimensional audio experience”) by Human League’s Martyn Ware. Jonze, meanwhile, will be filmed putting questions about “the movie, life, and love” to viewers of his 30-minute robot love story, I’m Here, at a video booth. In his webisode, Jonze’s longtime friend/collaborator Lance Bangs narrates making-of footage about the film. Zinner, by the way, contributed music to I’m Here. Check out both videos:
