A local news crew released (via Nah Right) an exclusive video interview with rapper DMX from an Arizona prison yesterday, where he is serving 90 days for theft, drug possession, and other charges.
In the video, DMX says that he moved to Arizona because he believed it to be “God’s country,” but now he thinks he met the devil there.
DMX, née Earl Simmons, also speaks very openly about his past in the justice system, the posturing of his rap lyrics, and even admits that he has basically run out of money. At one point he can’t remember if some lyrics the interviewer reads to him are his own.
