We knew that Arcade Fire were gearing up for something this week and here it is: Joel’s Arcade Fire blog unearthed the Amazon pre-order page for the band’s new single: “Suburbs”/”Month of May.” What’s more, the released date for the vinyl version, and presumably digital version, as well, arrives in just two weeks!
It’s unclear which song is the A-side, but given that Arcade Fire briefly updated their official site with “Arcade Fire presents ‘The Suburbs’” recently, we have a pretty good idea which is which. Not to mention the film Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Richard Reed Parry, and company made in Austin, Texas with Spike Jonze reportedly has a suburban theme.
We’ve waited three long years, people, but it looks like this is finally happening.
