While more archival release announcements were certainly good news for Ryan Adams fans and completists like myself, a much more exciting update arrived just moments ago via Facebook: One of a few new photos taken inside a recording studio and elsewhere features the following caption (and polite request) by Adams:
I wrote some new tunes this winter on my acoustic guitar. I think I’d like to play them for whoever wants to hear them. Please don’t yell at me.
