I’ve only seen Lisa Hannigan perform live once. Not with Damien Rice and not with Gary Lightbody, of course, but at a recent solo promo show at the Apple Store in San Francisco. The sound was weird, the lights were bright, and there were literal babies everywhere. Hannigan killed it though, folks, at a gig where even Iggy Pop would’ve [i]phoned it in.
Hannigan and her band are on hiatus as of now, after wrapping up that whirlwind world tour, which included a surreal layover on the Colbert Report, an opening slot with David Gray, and a few more intimate shows in her native Ireland.
