As a longtime fan of Miranda July’s books, art installations, films, music video acting, and more, I’m pleased to be able to share news about her upcoming collaboration with fellow 24B fave Jon Brion…
As the Playlist points out, the official synposis, crew credits, and cast details for The Future, a new feature-length film that was written and directed by July, have hit the Web, revealing that producer/composer/singer-songwriter/mad genius Jon Brion has been enlisted to compose the score. The Future marks the third new Brion score of note for the year, as he previously worked on Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg comedy The Other Guys and helped out with music for De Niro/Ed Norton drama Stone.
(Great news, but here’s hoping Brion will still find time to complete the decade-overdue follow-up to his solo debut LP, Meaningless.) Grab more details about The Future and read the synopsis here.
