Great news for fellow fans of Jason Schwartzman’s first two solo albums as Coconut Records, Nighttiming and Davy: Vulture reports that not only is the Scott Pilgrim/Rushmore star shaving off that unfortunate mustache (“It has eight more days. Exactly.”), but he’s also writing songs for his next record with Los Angeles producer/multi-instrumentalist Woody Jackson. The musical direction of LP3, however, is clearly still in the works:
Hopefully it’ll be good. But it might be kind of slow, musically. Maybe it’ll be really slow. Slower than usual. Painfully slow. But maybe not?
Fast or slow, I can’t wait to hear more inevitably catchy jams from Schwartzman and friends. In the meantime, let’s enjoy two videos from the last album…
