It’s been a year since actor Ryan Gosling, Zach Shields, and friends dropped their self-titled Dead Man’s Bones LP, but the Halloween-ready L.A. outfit are still performing sporadic shows with local choirs, unleashing new music videos, and — per the clip above — debuting new songs. Is LP2 on the way? I sure hope so.
Backed by a children’s choir dressed as a few late greats (Charlie Chaplin, Janis Joplin, etc.) and dubbed “Warm Glass of Milk,” Dead Man’s Bones’ performance at L.A.’s FYF Fest over the weekend included this excellent new jam, “To Die/Turn the Lights On,” complete with Gosling ably rocking the Steinberger bass.
