We’ve previewed Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master soundtrack tracklist and snippets of Jonny Greenwood’s score via a preview trailer, but now the excellent set is here to stream in its entirety. You’ll need Spotify to stream the OST for free (it’s available for purchase in a number of formats as well), but it’s definitely worth taking their service for a spin, as Greenwood and Anderson’s collaborative follow-up to There Will Be Blood marks one of the biggest music in film highlights of the year so far.
Complete with stirring string sections, memorable melodic interludes, off-kilter soundscapes, and a pair of older recordings — “Get Thee Behind Me Satan” and “No Other Love” — set in perfect relief to the mood of the film, it’s becoming hard to imagine a PT Anderson project not being taken to another level thanks to Greenwood.
