If we needed yet another clue that Bob Dylan’s 35th album is imminent, here it is: 2012 tour dates were just announced, curiously leading right up until that set’s rumored fall release timeframe. Beginning on August 10th in Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada Dylan will then head stateside through “the country [he comes] from” called the Midwest, for the North American leg that includes thirteen shows in August and one final gig in Big Flats, NY on the first of September.
Between this jaunt and Leonard Cohen’s extensive world tour, it’d be hard to find an excuse (aside from geographical reasons, of course) not to watch a living legend perform this summer. Here’s hoping the poet laureate of rock finds his way to the west coast sometime soon, too. In the meantime, here’s the schedule:
