Mumford and Sons closed out their Glastonbury set over the weekend with a triumphant cover tune featuring a host of our favorite artists around here. Taking on “With A Little Help From My Friends,” the band brought out Vampire Weekend members, First Aid Kit, the Staves, the Vaccines, and others to invoke Joe Cocker’s version of the Beatles classic. Given recent events, in which Mumford and Sons member Ted Dwane underwent surgery on a blood clot in his brain, the show marked an epic return to the stage for both Dwane and the band, as they were forced to pull out of a number of bookings while tending to their bassist’s health scare. In other words, here’s the perfect happy ending to this summer’s very troubling rough patch. Watch it above.
