New York City’s City Winery has announced (via BrooklynVegan) a 4-night emergency benefit concert for Haiti relief, featuring performances by Patti Smith, Josh Ritter, the Swell Season, John Wesley Harding, Rosanne Cash, Madeleine Peyroux, Living Colour’s Vernon Reid and Corey Glover, comedian Lewis Black, and many more. What’s more, their website says that more artists are still being confirmed in the next two days.
The venue hopes to raise $100,000 at the concerts (set for Jan. 20-25) to be donated to Wyclef Jean’s Yéle Haiti Foundation.
General admission tickets are $50, but “Big Hearted” donors may opt for a $200 ticket, which will include a bottle of City Winery Haiti Relief Fund wine signed by the artists who are performing.
