I can’t wait to hear Wanda Jackson’s entire forthcoming Jack White-produced album, The Party Ain’t Over, which arrives January 25 via Third Man/Nonesuch Records, but fortunately there are some excellent tastes of the LP floating around the Web in the meantime. Hiding in plain view on YouTube for the past few months is the opening track, an amazing cover of Johnny Kidd and the Pirates’ 1960 chart-topper “Shakin’ All Over,” complete with White’s trademark face-melting guitar solos, horns, and a perfectly executed arrangement. Stream it above and head over to Cover Me for a taste of a Dylan cover (“Thunder on the Mountain”) that Dylan himself told White would make for a good cut.
