If Step Brothers director/Funny or Die co-founder Adam McKay’s recent tweets (shown below) are to be believed, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are bringing back Dale and Brennan for a follow-up to their hilarious debut hip-hop cut, “Boats ‘N Hoes.”
Perhaps he’s actually joking, of course, but here’s hoping a Lonely Island/Huff ‘N Doback rap rivalry is on the horizon. Let’s not forget that the great Jon Brion composed music for the original film, which begs the question: Is Brion (who produced Kanye’s Late Registration) the so-called “crazy big time producer” McKay is referring to?
