At the NBA All-Star Game last weekend, rapper Ludacris approached Senator John McCain and his wife Cindy to offer an apology for lyrics in his song “Politics (Obama Is Here).” Controversy over the song’s lyric “McCain don’t belong in any chair unless he’s paralyzed,” erupted last summer, leading to President Obama calling Ludacris’ lyrics shameful.
E! Online reports (via Keepitrill.com) that Ludacris took the opportunity during a break in the All-Star game to shake hands with Cindy and John McCain. Ludacris apologized for any offense caused by his lyrics and the group had a pleasant conversation for a couple of minutes (photo above).
