While we wait for a follow-up to Country Sleep, last year’s excellent debut from Night Beds, here’s a live favorite the Winston Yellen-led band just shared in studio form. Honed on the road as the closing number at most shows, “Head For The Hills” adds one last tight-knit, yet expansive moment to the Nashville (by way of Colorado Springs) group’s breakthrough year. It’s a confident step toward future records, too, complete with momentum building toward a lush string-adorned outro that leaves the palette wide open for the next LP. Hear it above.
