Producer/reducer Sonjay Prabhakar was given original master track stems of David Bowie’s 1977 Low LP earlier this year and granted permission by Bowie to reimagine “Sound and Vision” for an ad placement deal. The result — a sparse, brilliantly deconstructed piano take — moved fans and presumably Bowie himself enough this week to re-release that 2013 vision of the cut in official form, clocking in at just under 2 minutes if you don’t keep it on repeat as I’ve done today. Hear the Bowie-approved, stripped down version of the Low cut above.
