Bill Callahan made a rare radio appearance this week on the Studio 360 program, sitting down for an interview and intimate solo performance of two Dream River songs with host Kurt Andersen. While the last album promo stop found him singing “Small Plane” in a lush city garden, this trip bears some notable new fruit, namely an homage to Walt Whitman’s great collection of poems, Leaves of Grass.
