Johnny Flynn shared another cut from his new LP this week with “Fol-de-rol,” taking a bossa nova left turn from last month’s Cohen-esque folk gem, “After Eliot.” So far, Country Mile is shaping up to be a fine step forward from Flynn’s last album, Been Listening. Where that record proved Flynn as a well-honed tunesmith, this one finds he can turn in said tunes with an off-the-cuff recording approach, catching the track’s earliest moments of inspiration to tape.
