Between that grin photographer/tour documentary director Hanly Banks caught for today’s press shot and Drag City describing the album as “sensual and soulful,” it looks like Bill Callahan has an uncharacteristically upbeat set on the way. Even its title, Dream River, suggests he’s risen from 2011’s Apocalypse in good spirits. Put to tape at Cacophony Recorders in Callahan’s adopted homebase of Austin, Texas, the 8-track LP arrives on September 17th. Check out the titles below:
