Beach House worked with director Eric Wareheim for the latest music video off Bloom, and it just might be their best clip yet. For one, it stars veteran actor Ray Wise (the guy behind David Lynch’s inimitably creepy character Leland Palmer in Twin Peaks) lip-syncing “Wishes”… on a horse. “Victoria’s imagery inspired me to create this special half time show,” says Wareheim. “It also helps that Beach House is literally on my top 5 list of bands, ever.” There are many other odd moments at play here (a sporting event that involves ripping your opponent’s pants off, et al.), but pairing this cut with the surreal tone of Twin Peaks — intentional or otherwise — was a particularly brilliant move.
