Last summer, music recorded at home in the 1950s by Nick Drake’s mother, Molly Drake, was published with a 45-page collection of her poetry. A moving set in its own right, described by Five Leaves Left/Bryter Layter producer Joe Boyd as “the missing link in the Nick Drake story,” all 19 original tracks will arrive stateside and digitally on March 5th with a bio penned by Nick’s sister, Gabrielle Drake. At once nostalgic and prescient, preview cuts “I Remember” and “Do You Ever Remember?” never fail to stop us in our tracks. Hear them above alongside another song, also fittingly titled, “Poor Mum.”
