One year ago this week, we heard the start of what would become a 12-month unveiling of UK trio the Staves in the form of their “Mexico” video. Many notable moments occurred in the interim (they toured/performed with Bon Iver, collaborated with Keaton Henson, and made a television debut, to name a few), but now comes the one we’ve waited for most: Dead & Born & Grown — sisters Emily, Jessica, and Camilla Staveley-Taylor’s first LP — is here in full. We’ll let the lovely harmonies and well-honed tunes speak for themselves after the jump, but also of note is that the record marks the first co-production effort from father-son producing legends Ethan and Glyn Johns.
