Last fall, we heard some late-’60s Velvet Underground lurking in Lissy Trullie track “Madeleine,” and now the single off her new self-titled LP has an official clip with a nod to Nico, too. According to Spin, director Emily Hope drew inspiration from the former Warhol muse as well as Dusty Springfield for the video, which finds Trullie in a bare room flanked by a pair of bandmates playing along in shades. The stark mood works well for the tune, but given that this cut’s killed in every setting so far — from the studio record to closing out her set at our SXSW show — it’s hard to imagine visuals that wouldn’t do it justice. Check it out above.
