Speaking of Elliott Smith, “Pretty (Ugly Before)” guest musician Aaron Embry has a new solo record due next month that’s shaping up to be one of the best singer-songwriter LPs of the year. Embry first piqued our interest back in January with “Your Heart and Mine,” an original live tune followed six months later by a taste of the studio set, “Moon of the Daylit Sky.” Now comes another recording culled from Tiny Prayers sessions, suggesting Smith and Embry might have another thing in common: B-sides on par with album tracks. “No Go” didn’t make the LP, but arrived this week via official stream and on the flip side to Embry’s “Moon of the Daylit Sky” 7″ available here.
