My Bloody Valentine’s 1991 masterpiece, Loveless, has been remastered from the original analog 1/2″ tape and reissued for release next week. Today, though, you can preview the entire, electric guitar-drenched set in all of its updated sonic glory via an online stream over at the Guardian. While that story alone would make for a big year from Kevin Shields and Co., they’re just getting started: their other LP, 1988’s Isn’t Anything, will also arrive in remastered form on May 7, along with the group’s EPs from the 1988 to 1991 era.
What’s more, unreleased cut “Good For You” hit the web last week in addition to news that a long-awaited third record is in the works. Consisting of material that began coming to fruition back in the 1990s before being worked on up until the present, the planned 9-track set will be released this year — barring another unexpected lapse that Shields hasn’t ruled out. For now, revisiting the old classic at the link above and a first taste of this impressive, previously unheard cut will more than suffice:
