We’ve heard a number of promising new Mumford & Sons tunes in live form (“Home”, “Lover’s Eyes”, “Ghosts”, etc.), but now the arrival of their proper studio follow-up to breakthrough debut Sigh No More is imminent. On September 24 of this year, the British folk-rock outfit have confirmed the release of their sophomore album, according to VPRO DJ Roosmarijn Reijmer.
What’s more, the band themselves revealed at this week’s Pinkpop Festival that recording sessions for the LP — once again with Sigh No More producer Markus Dravs — have been completed well ahead of the fall release, just in time for festival and theatre dates this summer.
