The Drive soundtrack will finally get its due as one of the best of 2011, as the Cliff Martinez-scored, Kavinsky and Chromatics-featuring set will arrive on the best format still kicking, vinyl, this summer in the U.S. with a U.K. release hitting shelves next month. “It is nice to see good music allowed to play a pivotal role in a great film,” said Portishead’s Geoff Barrow, the Invada Records leader who instigated Drive‘s vinyl release.
What’s more, wax editions will be offered in multiple forms and colors: standard black, the film’s signature shade of pink, and as a picture disc.
