One of the most pleasant surprises in the film soundtrack world this year arrived this month in the form of the OST for The Hunger Games. Complete with new recordings from a slew of 24B favorites — such as Neko Case, Arcade Fire, Punch Brothers, the Secret Sisters, the Low Anthem, the Civil Wars, Glen Hansard, and many more — the 16-track official release is brimming with original tunes for fellow fans of music built on a foundation of great songwriting. In fact, given the few cuts we’ve heard so far, it isn’t hard to imagine these tracks finding a place on an LP by any of the acts.
