The title track off Tyler Ramsey’s sophomore solo LP, The Valley Wind, feels bound to be an under-appreciated single this year, despite its effortless channeling of what I’ll call a Neil Young Kil Moon vibe, while — more humbly — offering a stop-gap before the next album from his main band as of late, Band of Horses. Perhaps “Angel Band” and “1,000 Blackbirds,” two cuts he just performed for Filter, will get this record a bit more love, though. Check out a gorgeous take on the former tune above.
