Jolie Holland just announced her fifth studio album, Pint of Blood, a new collection of original songs cut mostly live at her home studio with co-producer Shahzad Ismaily that follows up 2008’s Marc Ribot-featuring set, The Living and the Dead, on June 28 via Anti Records. Above, you can catch a glimpse into the inspired spontaneity of the wonderfully raw, live performance-driven recordings to come with “Gold and Yellow,” an album track that fellow fans of Fiona Apple and Sondre Lerche’s latest effort should have no trouble adoring.
