For the first official video off Brian “Danger Mouse” Burton and Daniele Luppi’s new Jack White/Norah Jones-starring LP, Rome, Burton enlisted the help of Google’s Chris Milk, director of Arcade Fire’s Google Maps-powered video project, The Wilderness Downtown. Though Milk has once again developed an interactive take on the tune, this time he created a 3D, animated sequence that enables viewers/users to click on objects while the Jones-sung single “Black” soundtracks the scene.
“There are a lot of ‘easter eggs’ and hidden things, and at the end of it… there’s a lot to explore,” Milk told Wired. “It may seem at first like it’s just one three-and-a-half-minute-long piece, but if you keep looking and going further, there’s no shortage of rabbit holes to go down.”
You can check out the video, dubbed “3 Dreams of Black,” here (it’s only compatible with the Chrome browser), or — if you’d rather just listen to the full LP — stream Rome below (via the Guardian).
