As we mourn the end of Meg and Jack White’s to-be-considered-legendary musical partnership today (some reflections on that sad news are on the way), I’ve been exploring a few other drum-guitar duos, namely Baltimore’s Wye Oak. The new single/title track off their forthcoming Civilian LP sounded great as an unplugged acoustic jam, but in case you need proof that Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack can rock out like the best of them, behold “My Neighbor,” performed last spring in Los Angeles for Luxury Wafers.
