As it turns out, last fall’s Spike Jonze-directed official music video for the title track off Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs is also “some kind of trailer” for a 30-minute short film based on the album, which premieres at the Berlin Film Festival this weekend. According to the band’s site, Scenes from the Suburbs was written by Jonze, Win Butler, and Will Butler, with concept art provided by the great Marcel Dzama (whom you might recall directed an animated trailer for their MSG webcast last year).
