Last night, Stephen Colbert held a competition between two acts nominated for the Best Alternative Music Album Grammy: Vampire Weekend and The Black Keys. Rather than fight it out over album sales (even the Keys can’t really earn a living off those nowadays), Colbert brought out Vampy Weeks’ Ezra Koenig and both Keys for what might be the first ever sell-out-off, in which bands compete over licensing songs for commercials.
