The Low Anthem’s latest album, Smart Flesh, won’t arrive in full until February, but frontman Ben Knox Miller and Co. have begun loading up their jaw harp, hammer dulcimer, saw, stylophone, pump organs and other instruments from their diverse collection into the van for live previews of new material. This week they stopped by WNYC’s Soundcheck for a 20-minute interview/performance before making their second appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman.
