Earlier this week, I posted videos of Jeff Tweedy performing with Yo La Tengo on the third night of their Hanukkah residency in Hoboken, New Jersey. Four nights later, Tweedy’s Wilco bandmate Nels Cline also joined YLT, in addition to openers Bonnie “Prince” Billy and the Cairo Gang (aka the Babblers), who took the stage for the night’s final number: a cover of Lou Reed’s “Heavenly Arms.” On the fifth night, Mission of Burma opened with Bob Weston jamming along for all sets, including a cover of Jonathan Richman’s “Astral Plane” alongside Roger Miller and WFMU charity auction winner Jason Koffman on vocals.
