While on tour in support of her new album, 1,000 Years, Sleater-Kinney’s Corin Tucker and her band have added a few cuts that didn’t appear on her debut solo LP — all hailing from the early 80s/late 70s — to their live repertoire: Elvis Costello’s 1979 Armed Forces track “Party Girl,” Sheila E.’s Prince-penned 1984 hit “The Glamorous Life,” and 1980 Au Pairs tune “It’s Obvious.”
Plenty of grainy videos have been floating around the Web of these live covers, but only recently did some closeup, quality footage arrive. Watch Tucker and friends rock out at the Unitarian Church in Philadelphia below:
