With only one month to go before 2010 is up, I can safely say The National’s High Violet is still one of the best records of the year and worth every bit of hype. Given that the double-disc version will be hitting select stores for just $7.99 tomorrow, we’d be remiss in not posting this bonus cut, which hit the Web earlier this week (via So Much Silence). There aren’t many bands that have enough brilliant songs to fill out an LP while leaving out buoyant gems like this, but Matt Berninger and the brothers Dessner/Devendorf did just that.
