When Elvis Costello last stopped by The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert brilliantly broke character for a performance of Costello’s “Cheap Reward,” filling in for the rock legend who had lost his voice. Now one year later, Costello returned to the show (voice intact!) for an interview, a solo take on “A Slow Drag With Josephine” off his new album, National Ransom, and a duet with Colbert of Everly Brothers classic “All I Have to Do Is Dream” to close out the show. Enjoy the previous two clips in the links above and Colbert’s sweet harmonies here.
