My Morning Jacket wrapped up a 5-night, career-spanning stint at NYC’s Terminal 5 on Saturday night with a cover-to-cover run through their last studio album, Evil Urges, plus a few encores featuring 2 new songs, “Friends Again” and “Circuital,” as well as a slew of covers by the likes of Wham!, the Velvet Underground, Curtis Mayfield, Sly & the Family Stone, Al Johnson, and more. While the closing night setlist is indeed epic, the scope of MMJ’s entire residency is pretty much mind-blowing. Plenty of watchable footage has hit YouTube, of course, so where should one begin? Here are video clips of the aforementioned new songs, their take on Prince’s “I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man,” and an excellent saxophone-backed, 10-minute rendition of Wham!/George Michael’s 1984 hit “Careless Whisper” just for starters.
