Word has quickly spread this afternoon (due to an understated PR letter sent to a few sites) that we have yet another so-called supergroup on our hands: Fistful of Mercy, a new trio made up of Dhani Harrison, the 32-year-old son of former Beatle George Harrison of course, Joseph Arthur, and Ben Harper, will make their first public performance in Seattle tomorrow night following their first radio performance on KCRW at 2PM EST. They’ve also debuted a music video for their self-titled song on a brand new MySpace page.
Aside from what can be gleaned from footage and music in the video, little details are known about the group’s future musical plans, though an official album announcement is likely on the way. Watch Harrison, Harper, Arthur, and a violinist perform “Fistful of Mercy” in the studio below:
**Update: You can stream their KCRW performance anytime here. Thanks to Immaculate Noise, Flavorwire, Antiquiet, and Rock it Out! Blog for the details!
