Tonight’s performance by Jack White, Alison Mosshart, Jack Lawrence, and Dean Fertita on Letterman’s Late Show was bittersweet for this Dead Weather fan, as their most recent tour in support of LP2, Sea of Cowards, officially wrapped last night in Brooklyn and no specific plans for the group are set for their foreseeable future. That said, though, Alison’s other band the Kills, LJ’s Greenhornes, and Dean’s Queens of the Stone Age have new albums/tours on the way, not to mention we all know Jack will be keeping plenty busy.
It was only a year ago that the band were making their TV debut on Conan’s Tonight Show (le sigh), so tonight’s follow-up is something of a bookend to their 1-year, 2-album, multi-tour run. Like I said, bittersweet. Let’s rock out with The Dead Weather one more (hopefully not last) time above (via the Audio Perv). [Permalink]
