As I mentioned a few weeks back, Laura Marling, Mumford & Sons, and traditional Rajasthani folk collective the Dharohar Project teamed up for a collaborative album of recordings they made during a recent Indian tour. Though few details were known at the time, as of today, the 4-track EP has been released via iTunes UK (not yet available due to “a few hitches”) and we now have two songs to stream in full as a preview.
Both tunes are reworked versions of previously released studio songs by Marling (Jack White’s latest addition to the Third Man Records roster) and Mumford & Songs, respectively: “Devil’s Spoke” off I Speak Because I Can and “To Darkness,” originally a B-side from debut Sigh No More. Check out the tracklist and hear the songs below:
01 Devil’s Spoke / Sneh Ko Marg
02 To Darkness / Kripa
03 Anmol Rishtey
04 Mehendi Rachi
