Heart That’s Pounding is Sally Seltmann’s third solo album, but her first full-length going by her own name (she previously performed as New Buffalo). As David Greenwald notes in an interview for the WSJ’s Speakeasy, you’ve actually heard her work before as she co-wrote Feist’s (iPod Nano) hit “1234” back in 2007.
Official music videos resonate with me more in the summer for some vaguely nostalgic reason, and Seltmann’s latest, “Dream About Changing,” does just that. This tune is among a trio of standouts from her LP, which includes “Harmony To My Heartbeat,” possibly one of the best songs of the year so far (more on that later). Without further ado, watch Seltmann step out of a Rolls Royce to return a giant egg to a lake with a group of moss-covered creatures (via Rawkblog).
