Though details were scarce at the time, we mentioned last week that a third collaborative album from former Belle and Sebastian singer/cellist Isobel Campbell and ex-Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan is on the way. Now, courtesy of their new label Vanguard Records, we have some official details on Campbell and Lanegan’s forthcoming LP, Hawk.
Produced by Campbell herself, the 13-track follow-up to 2008’s Sunday at Devil Dirt features 25-year-old folk singer Willy Mason guesting on two songs, including a cover of Townes Van Zandt’s “No Place To Fall.” The pair also recorded a version of Van Zandt’s “Snake Song” without Mason. Hawk, which drops stateside on August 24, now has an album cover (above) and tracklist (below), as well. Stream their new duet “Come Undone” here.
