We offered a stream of the new Exile-era Rolling Stones song “Plundered My Soul” last week, but that excellent jam was only the beginning of this summer’s reissue festivities. As previously mentioned, three other never-before-heard tracks from the Stones’ legendary Exile on Main St. sessions are on the way, as well as a DVD, which features excerpts from the debauchery manifesto Cocksucker Blues film, clips from Ladies and Gentlemen, the Rolling Stones, and ten minutes from a brand new documentary, Stones in Exile.
The latter rock doc will be released in full on the same day, and based on the trailer below, as well as this writeup in the Guardian, you won’t want to miss it. For example: “Mick [Jagger] needs to know what he’s going to do tomorrow,” Keith Richards says of the band’s iconic frontman in the film. “Me, I’m just happy to wake up and see who’s hanging around. Mick’s rock, I’m roll.” (Great quote, obvs, but then again I’ve never heard Richards say anything that wasn’t.)
