Truth be told, I’m not yet sure if I like The Like, but now that they’re chilling with “Chill” Bill Murray, at least one Coppola, and über-producer/DJ Mark Ronson, let’s give this SoCal quartet a second chance. It has been a half-decade since their debut, Are You Thinking What I’m Thinking?, dropped and now the release of their first full-length follow-up has been announced for the summer.
As NME reports, Ronson produced “[m]uch of the album,” Release Me, which will be preceded by the single “He’s Not A Boy” on May 31. Singer Elizabeth Berg, drummer Tennessee Thomas, and company will play a string of dates in the UK, as well as a residency at LA’s The Echo, throughout the month of May.
Meanwhile, a few new tunes (including the single) are currently streaming on MySpace. So far, so good.
